Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov took part in the All-Russian charity event "Wish Tree" and fulfilled the New Year wishes of children from the Kursk and Saratov regions. On January 8, the participants shared their impressions of the events with Izvestia.

Sisters Vasilisa and Elizabeth from Kursk asked the head of the Ministry of Defense to organize a trip to Patriot Park and the Kremlin Christmas Tree, and nine-year-old Ilya from the Saratov region dreamed of visiting the Moscow Kremlin.

A rich program was organized for all children in the Moscow region and the capital. They visited the Memorial Road Museum complex, the Main Temple of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and climbed the 75-meter belfry. In addition, they went on a tour of the Kremlin and saw a New Year's show at the Kremlin Christmas Tree. The parents highly appreciated the organization of the events.

"We saw a lot of places, <...> we walked around Moscow. <...> I would like to express my gratitude to all the organizers who are engaged in fulfilling the wishes of our children. For me, as a mother, seeing happiness in the eyes of children is the most valuable thing in our lives," said Natalia, Vasilisa and Elizabeth's mother.

Ilya's mother Oksana also thanked the organizers for the gift of the trip, noting that the trip to Moscow and the opportunity to spend the holiday with the whole family became an unforgettable event for them.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk realized the dream of 13-year-old Gleb, whose card he took from a New Year's tree as part of the All-Russian charity event "Wishing Tree". The boy wanted to know how news is produced and asked for an e-book. Overchuk personally met with Gleb at the St. Petersburg edition of Channel Five and wished the boy a Happy New Year.
