Trump said that without him, Russia would have already gained control over Ukraine.
On January 7, US President Donald Trump said that without his intervention, Russia would have already controlled the entire territory of Ukraine.
"Without my participation, Russia would now control the whole of Ukraine," Trump wrote on the Truth Social network.
The American leader also expressed doubt that NATO would support the United States in case of real need, saying that without the Americans, the alliance is not a threat to either Russia or China.
Trump stressed that he had "single-handedly" ended eight wars, rebuilt the US army, and forced allies to increase defense spending. He also said that "the only nation that China and Russia fear and respect" is the United States under his leadership.
On January 6, the "coalition of willing" countries signed a declaration on the deployment of the military in Ukraine. Macron clarified that the document sets out in detail all the components of security guarantees, and the participants agreed to create a single coordination center.
The next day, the Politico newspaper reported on the refusal of the United States to sign declarations on security for Ukraine. Pavel Danilin, a political scientist and director of the Center for Political Analysis, also told Izvestia that European countries would not send their troops into Ukraine without Russia's consent.
He recalled that the special military operation began precisely in order to prevent the appearance of NATO troops at the Russian borders, and Moscow is completely unhappy with the peace proposal provided they are present in Ukraine.
