Russia plans to introduce regular monitoring of the financial situation of pensioners. This is stated in the plan approved by the Government.

According to the document reviewed by TASS, the reports will be prepared every two years — in 2026, 2028 and 2030. For this purpose, it is planned to conduct a comprehensive analysis, based on the results of which proposals should be prepared aimed at sustainable improvement of the socio-economic situation of pensioners.

The Higher School of Economics has been designated as the contractor. The University will send the monitoring results to the Ministry of Labor.

On January 7, Kaplan Panes, deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Budget and Taxes, announced that in 2026 all recipients of insurance pensions in Russia will receive an increase. It was noted that starting from April 1, social pensions and state pension benefits will increase by 6.8%.
