Trump announced the transfer of up to 50 million barrels of oil to the United States by Venezuela

The Venezuelan authorities will transfer from 30 to 50 million barrels of oil to the United States for subsequent sale on the market, and US President Donald Trump will assume control of the proceeds. He announced this on January 6 on the Truth Social network.

According to him, we are talking about high-quality sanctioned oil, which will be sold at a market price.

"I am pleased to announce that the interim Venezuelan authorities will transfer from 30 to 50 million barrels of oil to the United States of America," Trump wrote.

He stressed that the proceeds from the sale would be under his control.

"This money will be controlled by me, as president of the United States, to ensure that it is used in the interests of the people of Venezuela and the United States," Trump said.

The American leader also said that he had instructed Energy Secretary Chris Wright to immediately begin implementing the plan. According to him, the oil will be delivered to the United States by storage tankers and unloaded directly at American ports.
