Shipachev was the first to play 1,100 matches in the history of the Kontinental Hockey League.

On January 6, Russian forward of Dinamo Minsk Vadim Shipachev became the first hockey player in the history of the Kontinental Hockey League to play 1,100 matches.

He played his anniversary match in a guest match against CSKA Moscow during the KHL regular season. Shipachev has 928 appearances in the regular KHL championships, and 172 in the playoffs.

Shipachev holds the league record for the number of regular season matches, and ranks fourth in the playoffs. The 38-year-old hockey player is also the top scorer (998 points) and assistant (684 assists) in the history of the KHL, and is second only to Sergey Mozyakin in the number of goals scored (314).

Dinamo Minsk defeated HC Salavat Yulaev Ufa on December 30 last year in overtime of the Kontinental Hockey League regular season match. The match ended with a score of 3:2.
