Politico named Trump's four demands for Maduro's replacement

The administration of US President Donald Trump is demanding that Venezuela's interim leader Delcy Rodriguez take several "pro-American steps." This was reported by the Politico newspaper on January 6.

"The Trump administration is demanding that the interim leader of Venezuela take a number of pro—American measures, which her predecessor refused, if she wants to avoid a similar fate," the article says.

According to the newspaper, at least three specific steps are expected: strengthening the fight against drug trafficking, expelling agents of states hostile to Washington from the country, as well as stopping oil sales to US opponents.

In addition, the American side also expects that Rodriguez will eventually facilitate the holding of free elections and resign.
