In Russia, the conditions of a "tax cashback" for families have been defined
Families with two parents and a combined income of up to 106.4 thousand rubles per month will be able to apply for a tax cashback in 2026. This became known on January 6 from calculations based on open data.
The right to payment will be granted provided that the average per capita family income does not exceed 1.5 minimum subsistence level. For a family of four, this figure is 26.6 thousand rubles per member, which corresponds to a total income of 106.4 thousand rubles per month before taxes.
According to RIA Novosti, for single-parent families with at least two children, the income limit for receiving payments is set at 79.8 thousand rubles per month. The support measure involves refunding the difference between the amount of personal income tax calculated at the rate of 13% and the amount calculated at the rate of 6% at the end of the year.
Earlier, on September 29, 2025, it was reported that the State Duma plans to introduce a bill on providing tax cashback to low-income families with one child. The initiative provides for a refund of 7% of the personal income tax paid, similar to a support measure for families with two or more children, and is aimed at eliminating inequalities in access to benefits. It is assumed that the innovation may come into force in 2026 and improve the financial situation of young and low-income families.
