Campaigns to be launched in Russia against negative stereotypes about pensioners

The Russian authorities plan to conduct information campaigns aimed at combating discrimination and stereotypes about older citizens. This became known on January 6.

According to TASS, the campaigns will be aimed at children, youth and middle-aged people in order to promote the values of a multigenerational family and the role of pensioners in the upbringing of the younger generation.

The Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Education and Science, Rosmolodezh and a number of other structures have been appointed responsible for the implementation. There are also plans to increase the "social status of citizens of the older generation" and to spread respect for pensioners in society.
