In Russia, they proposed to develop preferential rental housing for young families
In Russia, it is necessary to develop a massive program of preferential rental housing for young and large families. This was announced on January 6 by Sergey Rybalchenko, Chairman of the Public Chamber's Commission on Demography, protection of family, children and traditional family values.
"I believe that a mechanism of subsidized employment should be implemented in the most widespread way for large families. This should be one of the main mechanisms for solving the housing problem for both large families and young families," he stressed.
Rybalchenko noted that the support system should be integrated. Part of the rental costs could be compensated by the employer, part by the state.
"If the young people have entered into a legal marriage, the company supports the family and, for example, undertakes to do this for another two years. For this period, the state allows the company to use its social capital, without taxing it or other deductions," he explained.
According to the social activist, this approach will help families cope with paying for housing, especially in the first years of living together, when a child appears in the family.
