Juan Carlos Carcedo announced his retirement from the Cyprus football club (FC) Paphos after the match against Apollon, confirming that he will continue his career at Spartak Moscow. He announced this on January 4 in an interview with the Goal portal.

"I think this is the best decision for me and my family," the athlete explained his choice.

Carcedo in his statement described the last 2.5 years of work at the club as a unique experience and expressed gratitude to the owners of the club, the coaching and medical staff, as well as the residents of Paphos for their support.

"It was especially emotional for me. I wanted victory for the people, for the team. I know that the team will continue to move forward," he said.

FC Dynamo announced on December 29 that Vadim Evseev had been appointed the new head coach of the club. Evseev is a well—known Russian football player in the past, a multiple champion of Russia in the Moscow "Locomotive" and "Spartak", as well as a participant in the European Championship. After finishing his playing career, he continued to work in football as a coach.
