Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, commenting on the attack by American troops on Venezuela, said that US President Donald Trump should turn his attention to Ukraine.

"Trump should have been as active as he was with Venezuela, in a completely different place. The trained "Ukrainian animals" <...> have completely lost their hands," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to him, the United States could strike at the military bases of Banderistan.

On the same day, American leader Trump announced a successful and large-scale attack on Venezuela. He also noted that Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro and his wife were captured and taken out of the country. According to the US president, the US military took Maduro and his wife by helicopter. Later, he was put on a ship.

In this regard, the Russian Foreign Ministry expressed deep concern and condemnation. Russia also reaffirmed its solidarity with the Venezuelan people and the leadership of the state and called for preventing further escalation of tension between the two countries.

Later, the American leader did not rule out a second wave of attacks on Venezuela. In addition, he said that the United States had planned to carry out the operation a few days ago, but it was postponed due to bad weather.
