Metallurg has placed striker Kuznetsov on the waiver list.

The Metallurg hockey club has put forward Evgeny Kuznetsov on the waiver list. The relevant information was published on the official website of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) on January 3.

According to Sport-Express, Kuznetsov signed a contract with Metallurg on October 1, 2025. In the 2025/26 season, he played 15 matches in the KHL FONBET championship, scoring nine points (one goal and eight assists). At the same time, the striker missed the last three meetings of the team — against Neftekhimik (4:3), Avangard (1:2 B) and Traktor (5:4 OT).

Kuznetsov spent the 2024/25 season with SKA. In the regular season, he recorded 37 points (12 goals and 25 assists) in 39 games, and in the playoffs he scored three points (1+2) in three matches. The contract with the St. Petersburg club was terminated in April 2025.

The striker of the Russian youth national team Maxim Voronov signed a contract with the Moscow football club (FC) CSKA on December 31, he joined the team from Ural Yekaterinburg.
