The Finnish national team beat the USA in the youth Hockey World Cup

The Finnish national hockey team defeated the USA team in the quarterfinals of the World Youth Hockey Championship, winning in overtime with a score of 4:3, and advanced to the semifinals of the tournament. The meeting took place on January 2 on the ice of the Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul, Minnesota.

The main time of the game ended with a score of 3:3. As part of the Finnish national team, Heikki Ruohonen scored goals in the 25th minute, Leo Tuuva in the 53rd and Joona Saarelainen in the 54th. Arttu Vjalila scored the winning goal in overtime in the 63rd minute.

The hockey players of the Swedish youth national team beat the Latvian team in the quarterfinals of the World Cup among players under the age of 20, held in the United States. The match took place on January 2 in St. Paul and ended with a score of 6:3. Anton Frondell scored a double for the winners, who scored in the 1st and 42nd minutes.
