In Russia, the rules for children's travel to some countries will change
Starting from January 20, 2026, tickets for children under the age of 14 for trains to some foreign countries can only be issued with a foreign passport. This was announced on January 1 on the official website of the Russian Railways (RZD).
"Minor citizens of the Russian Federation who have not reached the age of 14 will leave the Russian Federation and enter the Russian Federation only with valid documents certifying the identity of a citizen of the Russian Federation outside the territory of the Russian Federation," the publication says.
