FIS banned Coach Sorin from parking at the KM stage without neutral status
The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) has revoked a parking permit for Russian ski coach Egor Sorin due to his lack of neutral status.
According to Nettavisen Sport, Sorin was first spotted at the multi-day Tour de Ski driving a car with a parking permit for neutral athletes and staff approved by the FIS. At the same time, the coach himself has not yet received this status and is on the Tour de Ski as a spectator. Later, the director of the competition, Michal Lamplot, said that certain measures had been taken in connection with the incident.
"We took care of it," Lamplot said.
On December 29, Russian skier Savely Korostelev took ninth place in the 10 km classic style race at the Tour de Ski World Cup. It was noted that this was the first time in the athlete's career to reach the top 10 at the World Cup.
