Ural striker Maxim Voronov joined CSKA

The striker of the Russian youth national team Maxim Voronov signed a contract with the Moscow football club (FC) CSKA, he joined the team from Yekaterinburg Ural. This was announced on December 31 by the press service of the army in the Telegram channel.

"I am happy to be in such a big club with a rich history. <...> I will try to prove myself from the first matches," the FC press service quoted Voronov as saying.

According to Sport-Express, the agreement with the 18-year-old player is concluded until 2030. Voronov will play in CSKA at number 97.

Voronov is a graduate of Ural. He played 59 matches in the Media Football League (MFL) and the Youth Football League (SFL), in which he scored 71 goals and provided 12 assists. He made his debut in the Ural main team in the summer of 2024 and played 40 matches for the club, scoring nine goals.

Moscow football club FC Lokomotiv announced on December 17 the transfer of Argentine midfielder Lucas Vera. It was clarified that the contract with the athlete was concluded until the end of the 2027/28 season. Vera joined the camp of the Railwaymen as a free agent.
