Iran is ready to respond harshly to aggression after threats from US President Donald Trump and Israel's support in the conflict with the Islamic Republic. This was announced on December 30 by Iranian leader Masoud Pezeshkian.

"The response of the Islamic Republic of Iran to any aggression will be harsh and will make you regret it," he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

The American leader said yesterday that the United States would support possible Israeli strikes against Iran if Tehran attempts to continue developing its missile and nuclear programs. He also added that if Iran tries to "strengthen itself" on this issue, the American and Israeli countries "will have to knock it down."

At the same time, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that it was necessary to refrain from escalating tensions in the Middle East and engage in dialogue with Iran, commenting on the statements of the American side about support for Israel. Peskov said that Russia continues to maintain "good, constructive" relations with Tehran.
