A tourist died in the mountains of Kazakhstan
Search services have found the body of one of the tourists who disappeared in the mountains of the Alma Ata region, the fate of two more members of the group remains unknown. This was reported on December 26 by the Kazinform news agency.
"As a result of search operations using an unmanned aerial vehicle, a body was found in the area of Locomotive Peak. Rescuers descended from a height of 3,700 m above sea level, after which the body was handed over to police officers. A forensic medical examination has been appointed," the report says.
Rescuers are currently continuing to search for two more people.
It is clarified that earlier a relative of one of the missing contacted the rescuers, saying that her brother, along with two friends, went to the mountains and did not return.
On November 3, seven people died in Nepal, and four more were missing. It was clarified that an avalanche had occurred at that time, and a group of foreign and Nepalese climbers, along with their guides, were in a camp at the foot of Yalung Ri and were preparing to climb the higher Dolma Khang peak (6332 m).
