The Russian airline Aeroflot intends to launch its own aircraft engine repair facility in 2027. This was announced on December 26 by Sergey Alexandrovsky, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of the Aeroflot Group.

"In general, the launch of a full—fledged engine repair facility is planned for the fourth quarter of 2027," he said on the Rossiya-24 TV channel.

According to Alexandrovsky, the first engine repair took place in December of this year. At the same time, he clarified that two more aircraft engines will also be repaired by the end of the month.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Saveliev said on November 19 that there are no problems in aircraft maintenance in Russia, as the country provides itself with components for aviation. He noted that it is absolutely safe to fly with Russian airlines, because they are fully certified, as well as aircraft components.
