- The head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Nilov, ruled out the introduction of a six-day period in Russia.
Yaroslav Nilov, head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, opposed the idea of Gennady Onishchenko, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, to introduce a six-day working week for Russians. He said this in an interview on December 26. "Газете.ги ".
The parliamentarian noted that such a measure could lead to depression and burnout among citizens.
"The argument that this will have no effect on health is not true. We have people working a lot anyway, and we have professional burnout and depression at work," he said.
In his opinion, an increase in the number of working days will cause discontent among the population and worsen the economic situation. At the same time, the deputy acknowledged that the economy really needs personnel, but stressed that one should not shift all problems onto citizens.
On July 1, State Duma deputy Svetlana Bessarab ruled out the possibility of introducing a six-day working week in Russia. According to her, the six-day working week is contrary to the Russian Labor Code. She also recalled that the Labor Code of the Russian Federation clearly states that it is not allowed to worsen the working conditions of working citizens.
