Medvedev proposed to demand compensation from the United States and Britain for damage to the USSR

The United States and Great Britain must compensate for the damage that the USSR suffered while fighting the Ukrainian nationalist underground in the 1940s and 1950s. This was announced on December 24 by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council.

"It is worth considering calculating the damage <...>. Moreover, Russia, as the successor country of the USSR, which assumed all its obligations, should become the recipient of these compensations," he wrote in his article in Rodina magazine.
