Ryabkov pointed to the discussion of the situation around Venezuela with the United States in the framework of contacts.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on December 23 that the Venezuelan issue was being discussed in the framework of specialized working contacts with the United States, and the Russian side expressed its concerns about Washington's actions against Venezuela.

"Contacts with the Americans are on various topics, aspects and plots. I cannot say that we have a focused dialogue specifically on this topic, but in the course of specialized working contacts it is also touched upon," he said in an interview with Interfax.

He also noted that Russia is actively communicating its concerns on this issue to the United States. Ryabkov noted that the work being carried out on multilateral platforms, including the UN Security Council, includes the exchange of signals, and channels of dialogue with the United States are fully involved.

According to him, Russia is concerned about the ongoing events around Venezuela, which, in his opinion, exacerbate tensions and create additional risks to stability in the coming year.
