- The Russian Football Federation has imposed a ban on Baltika from registering new players due to debts
The ban on the registration of new players for Kaliningrad football club (FC) Baltika is related to the club's debts. This was announced on December 23 by Roman Dyakov, Director of the Department of Registration, Licensing and Control of the activities of football entities of the Russian Football Union (RFU).
"The ban on the registration of new players was imposed on Baltika on November 13. This is a security measure issued for a violation detected during financial control, namely, debt," Dyakov explained to RIA Novosti.
According to him, upon repayment of the debt and the provision of appropriate evidence, the club will be able to apply for the lifting of sanctions.
The Control and Disciplinary Committee of the Russian Football Union (RFU) has disqualified the head coach of FC Baltika Andrey Talalaev for three matches of the Russian Premier League (RPL). It was clarified that the decision was made in connection with Talalaev's abusive behavior towards rivals.
