The Russian government has allowed pharmaceutical companies PSK Pharma and Promomed Rus to produce Ozempik analogues by the end of 2026 without the consent of the foreign copyright holder, according to government orders published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

"To allow Promomed Rus Limited liability Company to use inventions protected by Russian patents <...> owned by Novo Nordisk A/S (DK) until December 31, 2026, inclusive, without the consent of Novo Nordisk A/S (DK)," the document says..

Exactly the same permission was granted to the company "PSK Pharma".

It is specified that the decision was made in order to provide Russian patients with a drug with the international nonproprietary name Semaglutide.
