The Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow has received a petition for the arrest in absentia of chess player Garry Kasparov (recognized in Russia as a foreign agent and included in the list of terrorists and extremists). He was charged with making public appeals and justifying terrorism. This was reported in court on December 22.
As TASS clarified, Kasparov was charged under Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public justification of terrorism using information and telecommunication networks, including the Internet").
On October 14, the Federal Security Service (FSB) of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case against Khodorkovsky and 22 members of the AKP. It was clarified that the Anti-War Committee of Russia includes oppositionist Mikhail Kasyanov, former Deputy Finance Minister Sergei Aleksashenko, former State Duma deputy Dmitry Gudkov, economist Sergei Guriev, businessman Evgeny Chichvarkin, lawyer Elena Lukyanova, academician Yuri Pivovarov, political scientist Ekaterina Shulman (all recognized in Russia as foreign agents).
