The European Commission (EC) has sent Ukraine the final tranche of macro-financial support in 2025 in the amount of €2.3 billion from the Ukraine Support Fund. This was announced on December 22 by EC representative Olof Gill.

"The European Commission transferred the sixth tranche of €2.3 billion to Kiev today. This financial assistance will help support the functioning of the Ukrainian state," TASS quoted him as saying.

According to Gill, during 2025, the EC made six transfers of funds to Ukraine within the framework of the specified fund. The total amount of financial support for the year amounted to €26.8 billion.

The approval of the allocation of the sixth tranche of aid to Ukraine became known on December 11 from a statement by the Council of the European Union (EU). It was clarified that the decision became possible after Ukraine completed the eight stages required for the next tranche, as well as closed one of the unfulfilled stages provided for in the fourth allocation.
