Due to the deterioration of weather conditions in the area of Kemerovo A. A. Leonov International Airport, flights heading from Moscow and Sochi to Kemerovo were redirected to alternate airfields in Novosibirsk and Novokuznetsk. This was reported on December 21 in the Telegram channel of the West Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office.

"For this reason, the aircraft of Aeroflot, North Wind and Siberia Airlines, en route to Kemerovo from Moscow and Sochi, departed for the alternate airfields of Novokuznetsk and Novosibirsk," the report says.

In addition, delays have also been announced for flights from Kemerovo to Moscow and Sochi. In this regard, mobile reception rooms of the Kemerovo and Novokuznetsk transport Prosecutor's offices have been organized on the first floors of the terminals, where passengers can receive information about their rights.

In addition, supervisory measures are being taken to protect the rights of passengers and ensure that they receive all the necessary services in the event of a flight delay.

Artem Korenyako, adviser to the head of the Federal Air Transport Agency, said on December 12 that all airports at the Moscow air hub, amid restrictions, accept and send flights in coordination with the relevant authorities. According to him, such measures were taken in connection with flight safety.
