As a result of the impact of the HIMARS multiple rocket launcher, the building of the Gorlovka Engineering College was damaged. Footage of the aftermath of the attack was shown on December 20 by Izvestia correspondent Evgeny Bykovsky.

The footage shows that the sports hall of the educational institution was badly damaged, the roof collapsed and the glazing was knocked out. In addition, nearby residential buildings and civilian facilities were damaged.

"Windows are also broken in neighboring houses. In addition, a school and a kindergarten were affected. The building itself was completely destroyed — the roof collapsed from the arrival of the rocket," the correspondent noted.

On December 19, the governor of the Belgorod Region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported that 42 apartments in 10 multi-storey buildings in Belgorod were damaged after a night attack by a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). He also added that a child was injured in the incident and is currently being taken to a medical facility.
