Evgeny Koreshkov became the head coach of the Traktor hockey club
Evgeny Koreshkov has been appointed head coach of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) club Traktor. This was announced on December 16 in the Telegram channel of the hockey club (HC).
"Over the past week, all Traktor fans have been waiting for the appointment of a new head coach. Today we are pleased to announce that Evgeny Koreshkov will be the manager until the end of this season," the club's general manager Alexei Volkov said in a statement.
He noted that the new coach has been working with the main staff of the club for almost a month. It is specified that the agreement with Koreshkov is valid until the end of the 2025/2026 season.
Rafael Richet, the acting head coach of HC Traktor, completed his work at the club on December 8. He joined Benoit Groux's coaching staff before the 2024/25 season, was responsible for the offense and the majority game, winning silver medals with the KHL championship with the team.
