The children injured during the attack on a school in Odintsovo, Moscow region, were taken to the L.M. Roshal Children's Research and Clinical Center. This was announced on December 16 by Maria Lvova-Belova, Commissioner for Children's Rights under the President of the Russian Federation.

"The injured children were taken to the L.M. Roshal Children's Scientific and Clinical Center. They receive the necessary assistance. I wish you a speedy recovery," she wrote on her Telegram channel.

She also added that she is in touch with the regional Commissioner for Children's Rights, Ksenia Michonova, who will visit the injured children.

According to the Children's Ombudsman, law enforcement agencies are working at the scene, and she continues to monitor the situation.

A schoolboy was attacked with a knife at a school in Odintsovo city district earlier that day. Three people were injured in the incident, one of whom died. The incident occurred at a secondary school in the village of Gorki-2. Later it became known about the arrest of the attacker.

A criminal case was also opened into the incident. It was later reported that there were no metal detectors at the school where one of the students committed a knife attack. According to preliminary information, in addition to the fact that the attacker was allowed into the educational institution in full uniform, he also managed to calmly carry a knife and an improvised explosive device (IED) inside.
