The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are trying to launch counterattacks on settlements near Kupyansk, but the Russian army confidently repels them, the enemy suffers significant losses. This was announced on December 16 by Leonid Sharov, head of the press center of the Zapad group of forces.

He stressed in an interview with TASS that Kupyansk is currently under the full control of the Russian Armed Forces.
