The Arbitration Court of the Kaliningrad region has satisfied the claim of the aluminum company Rusal against the Australian-British mining group Rio Tinto in the amount of almost 105 billion rubles. This is evidenced on December 15 by the data published on the agency's website in the file of arbitration cases.

"To satisfy the claim in full," the portal page says.

The corresponding petition of Rusal was submitted on April 4 of this year. Several structures are acting as defendants in this case. These include Rio Tinto Plc (UK), Oyu Tolgoi Netherlands B.V. (Netherlands), THR Oyu Tolgoi Ltd (British Virgin Islands), as well as Rio Tinto Aluminum Ltd, Rio Tinto Aluminum (Holdings) Ltd, Rio Tinto Ltd and RTA Holdco Australia 5 Pty Ltd (Australia).

Queensland Alumina Ltd, a joint venture between Rusal and Rio Tinto, registered in Jersey Rusal Ltd, JSC Rusal, as well as Alumina and Bauxite Company Ltd, registered in the British Virgin Islands, were involved as third parties.

On October 16, the Moscow Arbitration Court granted Sberbank's claim to recover 31.6 billion rubles from the Belgian Euroclear Bank. By going to court, Sberbank's representatives wanted to receive a large amount, but it was reduced due to a partial refund from Euroclear Bank.
