The liberation of the village of Peschanoe in the Dnipropetrovsk region creates conditions for further assault operations by the Russian army. This was announced on December 15 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

According to the ministry, units of the Vostok group of forces crossed the Gaichur River during active hostilities. As a result, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost more than 20 heavy hexacopters of the Baba Yaga type, as well as seven pieces of enemy equipment.

"The occupation of this area expanded the control zone on the western bank of the Gaichur River and created conditions for further assault operations by units of the Vostok group of forces," the report said.

The liberation of the village of Peschanoe became known earlier that day. It was noted that the Ukrainian militants lost more than 240 fighters, eight vehicles, an artillery piece, two electronic warfare stations and two warehouses of materiel in these battles.
