Chess player Vladimir Fedoseev, who had previously changed his sports citizenship and started playing for Slovenia, was stripped of the titles of grandmaster and Master of Sports of Russia. This is stated in a document on the official website of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation.

It is noted that the order was signed by the Minister of Sports of Russia Mikhail Degtyarev.

The chess player received the title of Master of Sports of the Russian Federation in 2012, and two years later he became a grandmaster. Since July 2023, Fedoseev has officially represented Slovenia at international tournaments.

Sofia Lyskun, the world and European champion in diving, told Izvestia on December 2 that she had accepted Russian citizenship and renounced Ukrainian. According to her, the decision to change citizenship was also influenced by an incompetent approach to training athletes in Ukraine.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
