- Zagitova performed at a floating nuclear power plant in Chukotka and set a Russian record.
Olympic champion Alina Zagitova set a Russian record by performing at the world's only floating nuclear thermal power plant Akademik Lomonosov in Pevek in Chukotka. She announced this in her Telegram channel.
"I did it. A new record in the Russian Book of Records, For which I flew literally to the ends of the Earth — to Pevek, in Chukotka. And I went on the ice where no one had ever performed before: at the Akademik Lomonosov floating nuclear thermal power plant in the world in the Heart of the North project," she wrote.
Zagitova emphasized that during the performance she focused on clean lines, speed, choreography and complete unity with the ice. The record was officially recorded by a representative of the Russian Book of Records right on the deck of the station.
The footage will be included in the documentary "Heart of the North", which is expected to premiere in 2026.
Earlier, on February 20, 2024, it was reported that Zagitova would serve as the general manager of her school, which will be built in Kazan. It is noted that Zagitova has her own team, which will take care of the school's facilities. It is also planned to invite specialists from Moscow and St. Petersburg.
