On December 14, the head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, said that residents of the region should not pay excessive attention to the appearance of tourists. He made the corresponding statement on December 14 during a direct line.

"It's good that people are coming to us. And the fact that some of them walk as they want makes us neither warm nor cold. I think we shouldn't infringe on tourists in any way and overly focus on their appearance," Kadyrov said.

He stressed that Chechens welcome all guests. At the same time, he advised explaining to the guests of the region, if they behave too defiantly, that "this is not the way we do it."

Earlier in September, Kadyrov said that the unemployment rate in Chechnya had decreased by almost 17 times in 18 years. According to him, small and medium-sized businesses, tourism development, and the implementation of large investment projects play a separate role in this.
