Russia 25 national team wins Channel One Cup
On December 14, the Russia 25 national team became the winner of the Channel One Hockey Cup, which ended in Novosibirsk.
In the final match of the tournament, the team led by Roman Rotenberg defeated the national team of Kazakhstan with a score of 9:0. Forwards Egor Surin and Prokhor Poltapov scored doubles, forwards Ruslan Abrosimov, Danil Aimurzin, Dmitry Silantyev and Artem Ilyenko, as well as defenseman Nikita Lyamkin scored one goal each.
Earlier, on December 4, FHR President Vladislav Tretyak announced that the federation plans to invite the National Hockey League (NHL) club after the completion of the special military operation Washington Capitals to participate in the Channel One Cup. He noted that there would be sponsors in Russia to finance the visit of the NHL club, and expressed confidence that the league itself would also be interested in such an event.
