Major General Lipovoy said about the deplorable state of the Air Forces of Ukraine
The aviation of the Ukrainian Air Force is in trouble, as it consists of decommissioned and scrapped aircraft from NATO countries. This was announced on December 14 by the chairman of the Presidium of the Officers of Russia, Hero of Russia Sergey Lipovoy.
"The enemy's aircraft is now in a deplorable state. This is a heterogeneous mass of different types of aircraft that have been transferred to the territory of Ukraine for disposal. These are NATO samples that have served their time," Lipovoy said in an interview with TASS.
According to him, the West supplies aviation "scrap metal" to Ukraine in order to avoid costly recycling and not to spoil the environment at home. The general noted that such aircraft are disposable, capable of making a maximum of one or two flights, after which they will either remain on the ground or be destroyed in the air.
On December 12, reserve Colonel and military expert Anatoly Matviychuk said that the Ukrainian aviation fleet is currently extremely limited and unable to perform tasks to the extent assigned to aviation. According to him, the Soviet aircraft fleet of Ukraine has been lost, and the total number of aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is now only a few dozen units — these are individual machines transferred by Poland and Bulgaria.
