Drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked a zoo in the Zaporozhye region
Two drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked the Vasilyevsky Zoo in the Zaporozhye region. This was announced on December 13 by the governor of the region Evgeny Balitsky.
"The territory of the animal center was seriously damaged, windows were broken, and part of the enclosures where the tigers were kept was destroyed," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to Balitsky, a lion was wounded by shrapnel as a result of the attack, and an assessment of the extent of the destruction is currently underway.
The governor added that the zoo, where predatory animals are kept, was hit from the air, which led to significant damage to the infrastructure.
On the same day, two people were killed in an attack by Ukrainian drones in Saratov, and several apartments in an apartment building were damaged. Residents of the damaged house will receive financial assistance. A temporary accommodation facility has been set up for residents of one of the entrances where security measures are being carried out.
