Belgium has demanded that the European Union (EU) break off investment agreements with Russia. This was reported on December 12 by the Euractiv portal with reference to the available documents.

"Belgium demands "independent" and "autonomous" guarantees from EU countries in exchange for supporting a floating loan to Ukraine using immobilized Russian assets," the publication says.
