Traffic is open on the bridge crossing over the Ob River, connecting Yuzhnaya Square with Truda Square in Novosibirsk. The entire main course of the bridge crossing with approaches from both banks, the right-bank interchange in full and the 12 exits of the left-bank interchange became accessible to traffic. The total length of the highway, which is open to traffic, is 5.1 km.

The bridge provided access to the federal highways "Irtysh", "Chuisky tract" and "Siberia". A six-lane motorway with multi-level interchanges makes it possible to eliminate traffic lights and ensure continuity of traffic flows, which will significantly reduce travel time between the parts of the metropolis separated by the river.

The construction of the modern engineering complex became possible thanks to the mechanism of public-private partnership. The federal infrastructure facility was built under a concession agreement between the Government of the Novosibirsk Region and VIS Group, a multidisciplinary holding company implementing major infrastructure projects across the country. The agreement will be valid until 2042, during which time the concessionaire will ensure the operation of the bridge crossing.

"Today we have opened to traffic not just another bridge in Novosibirsk, but a large infrastructure facility, including two transport interchanges, a tunnel under the Transsib railway line, and several kilometers of overpasses. I am sure that all Novosibirsk residents will notice the changes in the transport situation in the city, the new bridge is an additional route that hundreds of thousands of motorists will use," said Sergey Yudin, CEO of VIS Group.

The infrastructure project includes the largest transport interchange in the country with 25 exits, and the longest tram overpass with a length of more than 630 meters. The bridge structure itself is unique in many ways, it is combined: the bridge has a significant bend and consists of both a span on supports and a 380-meter cable-stayed section.

"The facility is not only large—scale and technically complex, but also very important for a large city like Novosibirsk, which needs intensive development of the transport system," added Sergey Yudin. — The new bridge will become one of its key elements. According to some technical parameters, the facilities included in the concession project have no analogues in the world."

Starting in 2022, a phased launch of traffic was carried out on a number of facilities — the reconstructed Zyryanovsky overpass, the right-bank transport interchange and 9 exits of the left-bank interchange, two above-ground crossings on the left bank are open to pedestrians. A lot of work has been done on the reconstruction of engineering communications that have fallen into the construction area.

The concession is being implemented at the expense of the federal and regional budgets, the current cost of building the bridge is estimated at 46.7 billion rubles. More than 25% of these funds were private investments. VIS Group has attracted more than 16.5 billion rubles to the project. own funds and bank financing, having fully fulfilled its investment obligations. Gazprombank acted as the financial partner of the project. The Russian government provided additional financial support during the construction, which compensated for the rise in prices associated with rising prices and inflation.

The builders have yet to complete work on the tram overpass and the second tunnel on the left bank of the Ob River. Until the completion of the works provided for in the concession agreement, travel for all types of transport will be free.
