A set of financial and legal restrictions may be imposed on Russians fleeing responsibility abroad. Vasily Piskarev, deputy of the State Duma, Chairman of the Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption, wrote about this on December 11 in his Telegram channel.

According to him, we are talking about citizens who evade criminal or administrative punishment under a number of articles of the Criminal Code and the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation. The list includes, in particular, violations of the procedure for the activities of foreign agents, calls for encroachment on the territorial integrity of Russia, the imposition of sanctions against the Russian Federation, discrediting the Armed Forces, as well as participation in the work of organizations deemed undesirable.

For such persons, it is proposed to temporarily block bank accounts in the territory of the Russian Federation, restrict access to electronic signatures and refuse consular services. In addition, the initiative provides for the suspension of registration of real estate rights, termination of a driver's license, a ban on remote banking services, refusal to conclude loan agreements, as well as the inability to register as a self-employed or individual entrepreneur.
