Detectives from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) conducted searches at the offices of the State Tax Service (STS) in the Khmelnytskyi and Mykolaiv regions, as well as at the central office of the department. This was announced on December 10 by the press service of the State Tax Service.

"Officially: On December 10, NABU detectives conducted searches at the offices of the State Tax Service in the Khmelnitsky region and the State Tax Service in the Mykolaiv region. Investigative actions also took place at the central office of the State Tax Service," the statement on the agency's website says.

It clarifies that the criminal proceedings relate to the events of 2024 and early 2025 related to "issues of risky enterprises." The details of the case were not disclosed, as they are within the competence of law enforcement officers.

"The management and employees of the State Tax Service fully contribute to the work of anti-corruption authorities. The State Tax Service of Ukraine operates in the legal field and is always open for constructive cooperation with law enforcement officers," the tax service stressed.

On November 10, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) revealed a money laundering scheme in the country's energy sector, through which about $100 million passed. At that time, seven people were charged, including businessman Timur Mindich (he is called the head of the criminal scheme).

On December 2, it became known that Ukraine expressed disappointment with the corruption scandal. According to one of the local residents, the words about the alleged ignorance of the heads of the Kiev regime about the situation with corruption in the country "are just making citizens laugh."
