Russia's industrial potential, scientific expertise and large market can play a key role in strengthening the position of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as a global capital center. This was announced on December 10 by the country's Minister of Economy, Abdullah bin Tuk al-Mari, at the First Russian-Emirati Business Forum in Dubai.

He stressed that Russia is a powerful industrial economy with competitive advantages in industries such as metallurgy, chemical industry, mechanical engineering, agricultural processing, information technology and cybersecurity.

"Russia's industrial potential, scientific expertise and large market can strengthen the UAE's position as a global center of capital, logistics and entrepreneurship," TASS quoted the minister as saying.

He also noted that the UAE provides significant advantages to Russian companies seeking to expand their operations in the Middle East, as well as in Africa and Asia. According to him, the state's strengths in logistics, aviation, renewable energy and advanced services provide an excellent platform for companies that are determined to localize operations, as well as open regional headquarters.

Putin noted the doubling of Russian investments in the Emirati economy and named a suitable country for his meeting with Trump.
