Deputies from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation will submit to the State Duma a bill providing for a reduction in working hours for Russians to six hours a day.

According to RIA Novosti, the authors of the initiative claim that the goal of the project is to establish an optimal working week of no more than 30 hours.

In addition, the bill provides for a proportional reduction in working hours for a number of categories of citizens. Thus, for people under 16 years of age, as well as for young people from 16 to 18 years of age, disabled people of groups I and II, women working in rural areas, teachers and workers with dangerous or harmful working conditions, it is planned to set a limit on working hours — no more than 24 hours per week.
