Murashko announced a decrease in the incidence of infertility in Russia
The incidence of infertility has decreased in Russia over the past six years. This was announced on December 8 by the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko.
"In general, the incidence of female infertility in the country has decreased by 9.5% over the past six years, and male infertility by 22.2%," he said in an interview with TASS.
According to the minister, this figure in the country currently stands at about 7-8%. At the same time, Murashko added that these values have increased slightly due to the reproductive medical examination.
He also noted that the incidence of infertility in the Russian Federation on average practically does not change and corresponds to the general population frequency. According to the minister, such a diagnosis is made by those who wish to have children, but for some reason do not have such an opportunity. In addition, Murashko stressed that it is displayed during the year if pregnancy has not occurred.
An obstetrician-gynecologist, gynecologist-endocrinologist, and a leading specialist in the Semeynaya clinic network, Maria Bakhmetyeva, told Izvestia on November 24 that an adequate examination would help significantly reduce the risks to the health of the baby and the expectant mother. According to her, it is necessary to eliminate alcohol and smoking, ensure moderate physical activity, and normalize sleep and wakefulness. In addition, you should start taking some vitamins, Bakhmetyeva added.
