The State Hermitage Museum has achieved the dismantling of a construction town located near its walls from the Winter Trench after the Louvre was robbed. This was announced by Mikhail Piotrovsky, Director General of the museum, at a press conference dedicated to the Days of the Hermitage.

"Our Winter Groove has been littered for more than a year. Its embankments were restored, and then the builders left their houses there — a complete disgrace, and there was no way to expel them. Thanks to the Louvre. After the Louvre, we sent papers with photos, from the governor to the prosecutor's office, explaining how the Hermitage was being robbed, and that it was just as easy to rob the Hermitage if there was such an uncontrolled space," TASS quoted him as saying.

However, according to Piotrovsky, there is a possibility that the construction site will still be located next to the Hermitage, but on the other side.

On October 19, French Minister of Culture Rachida Dati announced the robbery of the Louvre, which took only a few minutes. On the same day, Le Parisien learned about the discovery of the broken crown of Emperor Napoleon III's wife Eugenie near the scene of the robbery.

On October 29, Paris Prosecutor Laure Becco announced that two detainees in the Louvre robbery case had partially admitted their guilt. According to her, they were charged with committing numerous robberies, punishable by imprisonment for up to 15 years and a significant fine. Becco added that the jewelry stolen from the museum has not yet been found.

The Blick newspaper reported that the robbers who stole jewelry from the Louvre in Paris tried to sell part of the stolen to the CGI Group security company via the darknet to Israel. On November 25, it became known that the fourth suspect in the large-scale robbery of the Louvre was detained in the suburbs of Paris.
