Israel is against the creation of a Palestinian State. This was announced on December 7 by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at a joint press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

"Our position is significantly different because the goal of creating a Palestinian state is to destroy the only Jewish state," Netanyahu said.

He stressed that there are two ways: one is to promote peace with Arab countries, and the other is to create a stable peace with the Palestinians. However, the Prime Minister added that Israel would not create a State that would threaten its existence.

In addition, Netanyahu said that the first phase of the truce in Gaza is almost completed, and the second phase of the peace plan of US President Donald Trump will begin soon.

Earlier, on December 4, Russian President Vladimir Putin called the implementation of the UN decisions the only way to solve the Palestinian problem. The Russian leader also noted the importance of creating an independent Palestinian state and stressed that this is "the key to solving all problems."

Prior to that, on November 3, Trump expressed confidence that the Palestinian-Israeli conflict would eventually be resolved, but doubted that it would happen according to the two-state model. The American leader also noted that the Palestinian Hamas movement will be destroyed if necessary, and the movement itself knows this.
