- Ushakov spoke about the efforts of Witkoff and Kushner in negotiations with Russia on Ukraine
Stephen Witkoff, the Special Representative of the President of the United States, and Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of the leader of the United States and founder of Affinity Partners, devoted considerable time to efforts to achieve positive results in negotiations with Russia on Ukraine. This was stated by Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov in an interview with VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin on December 7.
"They are all big businessmen, Witkoff is also a very big businessman. They are all not poor, influential people, but they have now devoted part of their lives, part of their free time, to achieving a good result," Ushakov said, quoted by TASS.
He also stressed that it is impossible to achieve a peaceful settlement without the participation of experts from both sides, both Russian and American.
Trump's special Envoy Steven Witkoff met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on December 3 to discuss the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. It was noted that the negotiations lasted about five hours.
On December 5, Ushakov said that the tone of the meeting between Putin and Witkoff was constructive and friendly. According to the presidential aide, the head of state has already met with the special envoy six times, they know each other well and "understand each other perfectly."
