The liberation of Krasnoarmeysk in the Donetsk People's Republic by Russian troops illustrates a new tactic of warfare. This was reported on December 6 by the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph.

According to the publication, the Russian army has abandoned the use of large tank columns, preferring actions in small mobile groups that are difficult to detect with drones, especially in conditions of poor visibility. The newspaper compares the actions of Russian fighters to termites slowly corroding the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) from the inside.

It is noted that Russian reconnaissance drones first identify weaknesses in Ukraine's defense on the front line, which arose due to a shortage of personnel. After that, Russian forces strike at vulnerable points.

The newspaper calls such tactics "demechanization of hostilities," specifying that this new style of warfare in cities causes fear among the Ukrainian troops.
